Giants Acquire Ruben Droughns

March 9, 2007 – 6:58 pm

The New York Giants today acquired a potential replacement for the retired Tiki Barber, when they sent WR Tim Carter to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for RB Ruben Droughns. Essentially, the Giants are giving up a player in Carter, that never seemed like he was ever going to live up to the talents he displayed. He had trouble staying on the field due to injury. In return, the Giants get a talented running back who has posted solid seasons with the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns in the past. That being said, consistency isn’t his best trait.

How do you guys think the tandem of Ruben Droughns and Brandon Jacobs will perform for the Giants? Will Tim Carter peform to his capabilities in Cleveland, and most importantly, stay healthy?
