Sorry Lebron You Were Snubbed

October 26, 2005 – 9:18 am

The NBA general managers have an annual survey where different question are put to them and they give their opinions. Sometimes the results surprise people - a lot of times they don’t. Let’s take a look at some of the results and later in the year we will look back and see how accurate they were.

1. San Antonio Spurs are the favored team to win the NBA Championship among GM’s

2. Miami was the other one with a big percentage to win it all with the additions they have made.

3. Tim Duncan was voted best forward and most likely for another MVP title (other choices were Shaq and Dirk Nowitzki).

4. Kobe Bryant got the most votes for best shooting guard and the player who they wanted to take the last shot.

5. Steve Nash was tapped as top point guard, while Tracy Mcgrady was named as top small forward.

6. Larry Brown was named best coach in the NBA.

Now the list looks okay with me except that one guy was left out of the equation. Where was Lebron James? I’ve seen Tracy McGrady quit in games so many times or not even go into games when Orlando were losing. How Lebron didn’t even get mention is beyond me but you have to remember that these are GMs voting. I will update as the season goes on and we will see how well they did.

  3. Please…maybe Larry Brown will reverse the trend of every team Marbury leaving getting better and every team he joins getting worse (kinda like A-Rod)…
